Scientific name : Palmaria palmata
Flavour : 3 – Strong
Culinary Notes :  A vibrant purple red colour when rehydrated, with a distinctive savoury flavour and a crunchy texture
Culinary Uses : Fried or roasted, it takes on a smoky flavour similar to bacon.  As flakes, Dulse is a great flavouring to add to salads, sandwiches, popcorn, pasta, potatoes;  sauces, pesto and butters.  Also a great flavouring for oils.
